Ban gambling advertisements from mainstream media

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

As someone who has struggled with gambling in the past, I have seen the destruction it can cause. Unfortunately, advertisements are rife whether on TV or social media, enticing people in with the promise of ‘free bets’ or ‘free spins’ with the ultimate goal that you begin to spend.
I would like the government to step in, remove/ban mainstream advertisements in order to prevent the problems, even deaths through suicide, as much as possible.

This needs to stop in the same way that the government is and has been preventing smoking. Remove the advertising and remove the temptation
