Ensure that PIP assessors are fully trained in mental health

What the petition asks
Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessment reports can be inaccurate, including when they are carried out by assessors who are not adequately trained in mental health issues.
Sometimes a person wants a review of their case because their mental health has worsened, and reports from doctors and hospitals can confirm this, but case managers may not look at the full medical paperwork. If the person is only awarded their payment on appeal, it is mentally draining, and they can get sicker when help is delayed.
