Cancel the BBC license fee and shut down the BBC

What the petition asks
The government should abolish the BBC license fee and the BBC itself, because the broadcaster does not represent the people, and because of scandals involving BBC staff.
Especially as it is the only broadcaster with a licensing fee. If a broadcaster does not represent the people then should it not be closed down permanently?
