Require all veterinary nursing placements to be paid

What the petition asks
Many veterinary nursing placements are not paid, despite 8 hours a day of work for a year and responsibilities akin to qualified veterinary nurses. Many other placements are paid, so why should veterinary nursing students work without a wage?
Students in this field work just as hard as qualified vet nurses, and should get paid at least minimum wage. Students struggle as it is with finance, and in particular some students with cars cannot afford petrol. Students should not have to work for free and it is unfair to take advantage of students already paying £9,000 a year in university fees.
