Petition · past parliament

I require extensive action to tackle speeding vehicles in my area.

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

As a local resident of Wood Lane (Martin's corner and The Fiddler's) Barking and Dagenham. I would like extensive action to be taken in the form of Speed cameras/high road humps to be placed in this high risk area, where I have witnessed deaths and terrible accidents right outside my home.
I along with my mostly all of my neighbours have witnessed tragic accidents resulting in deaths and severe injury due to vehicles including motorcycles using the main road as a speed track. I have reached out to my local council to no avail. Its time we all took a stand to protect our families, children and each other.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Relevant decisions are a matter for Barking & Dagenham council, not the UK Government or Parliament.
