Stop changes to Permitted Development Rights in Agricultural/Rural settings
Closed

What the petition asks
The Government is consulting on increasing rights for existing agricultural buildings to be converted into Dwelling Houses, and extending or erecting non-domestic buildings, without planning permission. We believe this shouldn't be allowed to pass.
We think these changes will have negative effects on rural communities and National Parks and will not solve the affordable housing issue. We think it would undermine local housing plans and make wealthy developers richer. We believe a Pandora's box of development would then ensue, ripping apart the rural landscape forever.
