Create a scheme to relocate vulnerable White South Africans to the UK

Closed 87 signatures

What the petition asks

White South Africans are at risk of violent attack, yet many are unable to meet visa requirements for residency elsewhere. We call on the UK government to provide asylum for vulnerable White South Africans fleeing persecution through a similar scheme to that offered to Ukrainian refugees.
The racist song 'kill the Boer, kill the farmer' has resurfaced in the South African political landscape, and I believe that it is inciting racist attacks. Poor and disabled White South Africans are particularly vulnerable on two fronts: poverty and disability creates vulnerability at home, and it disbars applicants from gaining residency permits abroad due to not meeting immigration scheme criteria. The UK must offer protection by officially offering asylum within the UK to White South Africans who don't qualify for relocation under skills-based programs, and set up a scheme to help them relocate.
