Air rifles to be registered, given to a licenced person >25 years of age.

What the petition asks
All air rifles should be registered with a licence number to those persons who hold hold one in their household, they should also be kept in the same way as a gun with live ammunition would be.
My cat was recently shot by someone with an air rifle. She has had to undergo major surgery and could have been killed. We were unable to hold charges against anyone as we were unable to identify anyone with an air rifle in the area (they are not required by law to be registered).
This person could go on to cause serious damage/possible death to another animal or human. If we could identify people in our area with a rifle we could possibly prevent another serious injury to a living creature.
