Require all petrol stations to provide Electric Vehicle (EV) charging facilities
Closed
42 signatures
What the petition asks
Introduce a law that all petrol stations must provide a minimum of 1 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging facility of at least 50kw power.
In order to meet carbon emission targets the Government needs to do more to support an increase in the utilisation of EVs as opposed to combustion engines. We believe current infrastructure for EV charging facilities across the country is below the requirements to meet these target and is a deterrent to the public switching to Electric Vehicles. Introducing more readily available chargers should help increase the uptake and use of EVs.
