Review the marking of GCSE and A Level exams in 2023

Closed 198 signatures

What the petition asks

This petition calls for the government to review the fairness and equity of the methodology used to return grades to pre-Covid levels. In particular, how this may have disadvantaged any particular subjects, sector (state/private), or groups.
The 2023 A Levels and GCSEs are significant qualifications for all the individuals who studied for years to gain them. We believe the current grade distribution does not represent the effort students put in, nor accommodate for the increased mental health issues among the adolescent community in the aftermath of the pandemic (and that the 2023 A Levels were the first formal exams many students will have sat since their year 6 SATs).
