Set vehicle tax rates for motorcycles based on emissions not engine size

What the petition asks
Motorcycles are taxed on the size of engine, whereas cars are taxed based on their emissions. We believe this puts people off using motorcycles as a means of transport, and that vehicle tax rates for motorcycles should be based on emissions, not engine size, in line with rates for cars.
Setting vehicle tax rates for motorcycles based on emissions could increase the use of motorcycles. It makes sense to look at how to reduce congestion on the roads by reforming vehicle licence rates for motorcycles, so that lower emission vehicles are cheaper to use.
