What the petition asks
Everyone who wants to breed cats should be required to get a licence and meet the relevant licence conditions. There should also be an online platform where cat breeders are registered, and details of cats bred and sold held. If a person breeds cats illegally they should face a fine or jail.
The new online platform should include the name, address, and contact information of breeders, and their identity should be verified at the point of registration.
The platform should also include details of the cats they are breeding, pictures of the cats, microchip information, numbers, vaccination cards, and details or spaying or neutering. The breeder should have to update profile of cats when they are sold.
