Ban the use of non-biodegradable packaging for supermarket produce.

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

To legislate that only biodegradable packaging should be used to pack all supermarket produce; i.e. fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs.
Supermarket plastic is an unnecessary major contributor to non-biodegradable waste polluting our planet and damaging human and animal health.
The effects of plastic pollution are widely recognised and scientifically proven to harm the environment, animals and humans.
