Require internet providers and services to get parental consent for child users

Closed 29 signatures

What the petition asks

We want the Government to amend the Online Safety Bill so it is a legal requirement for internet providers to get parental consent for their child to go on the internet or use online services. This should help protect children from people and the exploitative use of AI.
There have been reports that AI (artificial intelligence) has passed the Turing Test. We are concerned this means AI may be used to exploit and abuse children.

We believe that making parental consent a legal requirement, will engage the provider, the parent and the legal system in continually improving protection for children online.
