Make MPs answer questions that only require a yes or no answer with yes or no
Rejected

What the petition asks
I would like the members of parliament to stop avoiding simple yes or no answers. I would like it made law that if asked a simple yes or no question members of parliament have to respond with a yes or no. "I do not know but will find out" would be acceptable as long as the final answer was yes or no
When question are asked honest answers are never given. e.g "Is the prime minister aware of [whatever]." Which should yield a yes or no answer. However the answer is likely to be. "The latest report says ..., or the government invested .... etc. Yes or No is all we need. It's plain English and very effective!
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The UK Government and Parliament as a whole are not responsible for what individual MPs say, including how MPs answer questions.
