Hold a public inquiry into whistleblowing in the NHS

What the petition asks
Following the recent tragic loss of life involving babies, nurses and doctors, we believe there needs to be a wide-ranging inquiry into whistleblowing in the NHS. Current NHS Guardian systems seem to have failed, and NHS staff surveys have shown that staff feel less confident in speaking up.
We urgently need an inquiry into whistleblowing in the NHS, which should look at how NHS whistleblowers have been treated. We need to learn lessons to prevent recent tragedies from occurring in the future, and also ensure that any NHS staff who have suffered as a result of whistleblowing receive adequate support.
