What the petition asks
We believe too much time, money and energy is channelled into the emotive subject of school uniforms.
Too many children are isolated or excluded because of what we believe can be unfair and inconsistent school uniform polices, causing rifts and negative outcomes for students.

The Government can intervene to require schools change approach.
Schools could reward and encourage adherence rather than punish and sanction pupils with isolation or exclusion, especially when there are many valid reasons why students and their parents may be unwilling or unable to comply.
Ultimately children should not be missing education because of the length of a skirt or the colour of socks.
