Require prominent labelling for halal and kosher certified items

What the petition asks
Some – including members of some other religions – may not wish to consume any halal or kosher-certified item. We are asking for mandatory prominent labelling to make an informed choice.
We were told that after Brexit there would be more opportunity for food labelling, and that the government was considering this. (1) Nothing of any substance has happened! The government has not lived up to its words. Defra figures show that in one week in March 2022 more than half of all non-stunned, kosher-slaughtered cattle was rejected by Jewish authorities and sold to the wider public instead. (2) I would remind the government an election is coming!
(1) All halal and kosher certified products are to be prominently labelled as such.
