What the petition asks
we want parliament NOT to put the American xl bully on the banned dogs list as banning a specific breed or type of dog does not take in to account the individuals dogs temperament. American xl bully like any breed can be well behaved and gentle family pets when trained and socialized properly.
Banning a specific breed/type does not solve the issue which falls down to irresponsible ownership. Why ban one breed for another one to become a problem? If you tackle the humans behind the dogs then maybe things will change because poor ownership is the real problem. Then maybe there wouldn't be as many out of control dogs around. Any dog small or large out of control can be a danger just as any dog with training, time and care in the right hands and can be perfect family companion.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
