Require enclosure of bridges over motorways

Closed 55 signatures

What the petition asks

Protect the public and our professional drivers. The risk to life due to dangerous incidents involving bridges over motorways is unacceptable. Require the enclosure of all bridges over motorways to prevent people and objects falling and causing injury and loss of life to others.
Motorists need to by protected and safe on our motorways and should not be victims of the actions of others whilst going about their daily lives, or livelihood. There are too many instances of objects being thrown from motorway bridges or people falling to their deaths and putting others lives at risk whilst moving in high speed traffic on the motorway with little time to react or defend themselves. The risk could be reduced by requiring these bridges be enclosed.
