What the petition asks
Remove the name from birth certificate and the parental rights of a parent who has committed serious sexual offences, as this could affect the wellbeing and mental health of the child in the future.
As a concerned parent, I am deeply troubled by the current laws that allow some individuals who have committed serious sexual offenses - including against children - to retain their parental rights and remain named on their child's birth certificate. It is crucial that we prioritize the safety and well-being of our children above all else.
I strongly believe that a person who commits a serious sexual offence or is on a register list (as a sexual offender) shouldn't be allowed to have any connection with their child in the future.
