Decrease the amount of gambling adverts on television and radio

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

Gambling addiction is more recognised today than it ever has been. Its crippling vice on peoples lives not only affects the addict but also their family and friends.
An alcoholic can avoid places that serve alcohol whereas compulsive gamblers can’t even escape the temptations in their own homes.
A lot of people can gamble “normally” and it does not become a problem for them, but the people who suffer at the hands of compulsive gambling need more support. There are television and radio adverts at every turn and while I’m sure it wouldn’t be possible to ban adverts altogether - there is certainly no reason at all that these adverts could not be decreased to assist addicts in their recovery.
