Increase tax-free childcare allowance

What the petition asks
The tax free childcare scheme has not increased its £500 per quarter allowance since its introduction in 2017 despite significant rising childcare costs. We call on the Government to increase the allowance at the very least as the same rate of inflation since 2017.
Nursery and childcare costs have increased exponentially over recent years; it is unsustainable. The recent announcements on childcare will make a big difference however tax-free childcare does not fall under this Bill but it does need to be extended and increased now. The £500 allowance per quarter does not stretch to the 3 months it was intended to and thereafter families are continuing to struggle with childcare costs.
