Create a law where no child can be abducted another parent without legal reason

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

To create a new law where a child cannot be abducted by the other parent or family member and cut contact, where there is no legal reason why the parent cannot have the child in their care. The police should be able to step in and help locate, return the child, heavier penalties should be sanctioned.
This situation has a detrimental impact on the child’s physiological wellbeing, and also the parent who has had their child ripped away. Court orders are still allowed to be breeched in the interim period and there is no help or support from the police or social services, they refer you back to court which can take weeks to get a hearing. In the meantime, it is very distressing not knowing where your child is and how they are. The child will also suffer abandonment trauma from being separated.
