Make proper bike lanes

What the petition asks
A lot of people cycle to work or school and it would be safer to have real bike lanes not a picture of a bike on the road
Most countries in Europe have great bike lanes so I don’t see why not
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions about provision of bike lanes are a matter for individual local authorities, not the UK Government or Parliament.

We could accept a petition calling on the Government to provide additional funding for bike lines that meet a certain standard, if that's something you'd like to happen.
