What the petition asks
We want the Government to make chanting about tragedies and death at a football match a criminal offence, whether this relates to events in the UK or abroad. Penalties should include a ban on attending football match and fines.
Currently people who chant about tragedies and death at a football match can face charges for public order offences, but we believe making this a specific criminal, with minimum penalties, could help prevent this appalling behaviour.
