Provide funding for on-call mental health teams for schools

What the petition asks
We want the Government to provide funding to schools so they can all have mental health workers on call at all times.
In recent years the number of children with a mental health problem has increased substantially, and there can be long waits to access support.
We believe gaps in current support are putting children at risk of harm. ‘Emotional-Based School Avoidance' is increasing, and unfortunately many schools do not have the staff or expertise to deal with the mental health problems children are experiencing.
The Government need to put more funding into schools so that they have access to on-call mental health workers, as our children’s wellbeing needs to be prioritised. By the time a child can access support damage may already have been done.
