Give the Speaker the power to recall the House of Commons as they see fit

What the petition asks
To enable proper parliamentary discussion and support parliamentary sovereignty, the Speaker of the House of Commons should have the powers to recall Parliament as they see fit
Currently the House of Commons can only be recalled at the request of the Government. We want this to change, so the Speaker can recall the House on their own initiative
This should help ensure policy is properly discussed first in the House, and prevent scrutiny of announcements made outside of the House.
We believe that this would help restore faith that proper representation is still a desire of all parties, and support public confidence in our system of government.
