Sexual abuse / assault and harassment of women is on the rise. UN women UK data found 97% of women disclosed they had been sexually harassed . From 2022 to 2023 over 68,949 number of police recorded rape offences in England and Wales the highest it has become since 2003 (statista 2023). A 2% conviction rate suggests, police and courts are not doing enough to ensure justice is served. Women need to feel safe and supported and need to feel that they can defend themselves if faced with danger.
