Help younger people afford insurance on cars and motobikes

Rejected 13 signatures

What the petition asks

Something needs doing about insurance prices ,many 17 year olds and older are expected to pay £2500+ this aswell as the cost of a car can push well over £5-6k aswell as paying for lessons and other costs is impossible for someone on low income
I have recently been looking into insurance prices on cars and motobikes for when I turn 17 however I feel that the cost of insurance for both is absolutely despicable and I am expected to pay £1900 on insurance to not be able to get legal protection and that is on a motobike on cars the cost is anywhere from £2.5k-£4K with a black box I feel as though this needs to be thoroughly assessed and fixed as young people are being forced to use public transport instead of having their own freedom

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about the cost of insurance for young people, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
