Contract independent hospital providers to enhance choice of public healthcare.

What the petition asks
Contract independent hospital providers on the same basis as the NHS, to create real patient choice and help reduce waiting times. Give residents health cards to use at any approved hospital, including charitable, to access healthcare free at point of use. Government would then pay that hospital.
We believe the NHS is failing. It is costing the taxpayer hugely whilst failing to deliver for all the patients. Many other countries do not rely on a single national healthcare provider and we believe the UK should take a similar approach.
Empowering the patient with a Health card will create real patient choice of provider and should help create competition, which could lead to greater efficiency and productivity, plus a more timely service for the patient, whilst remaining free at point of use.
