Open up Liverpool lime st to outbound traffic coming from Elliot st.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Open up the 20 yard stretch of pedestrianised area on lime street to allow one way traffic out of the city centre to reduce congestion
This issue will not get reviewed on a local level and needs government intervention to push these changes through. The current system has split the city centre in two and is causing a lot of bottlenecks

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about local roads are a matter for local authorities, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you. You can use this page to find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them: https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors
