Allow DNA tests to prove breed under the Dangerous Dogs Act

Closed 235 signatures

What the petition asks

The Government guidelines for the definition of an XL bully are broad and based on physical appearance. Owners should be allowed to use DNA tests to prove that their dogs aren’t XL bullies or other banned breeds under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
I have a Labrador crossed with a Staffy. There are many dogs out there that are not XL Bullies but meet the Government guidelines for being so.

Just because they meet the “guidelines” does not mean they are!
