What the petition asks

With the influx of foreign nationals into the UK of late, the issuing of a National ID card for all adult citizens would make the job of the police and immigration agency a lot easier to determine and persons immigration status instantly.

I feel it would make the UK a more safer place if we knew if our neighbours were here legally

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
