Pressure Bury Council to repair the Indoor MARKET HALL

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

On the evening of Thursday 26th October traders received an email telling them the Building had RAAC and therefore it has to close, since then 49 Traders have not seen any repairs being done in what is the Busiest time of the year.
Because we are simply not getting any answers or assistance from the labour led council of Bury

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about local authority assets are a matter for the relevant local authority, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you. You can find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them, by entering your post code here: https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors

We could accept a petition calling on the Government to provide funding for remedial works for buildings where RAAC has been identified, if that's something you'd like to happen.
