What the petition asks

We want to see the removal of gaming advertisements across all channels. As a gambling addict and someone that suffers with impulsive control disorder, I find gambling advertisements unavoidable, and believe younger people are increasingly being targeted by these adverts.

Many of the effects of gambling addiction are the same as for addiction to substance abuse. Gambling is very much a hidden addiction with advertising only fuelling this further. The removal of advertising smoking has been seen, but we believe not enough has been done to tackle the promotion of gambling, and the glamorous way it is often portrayed.
