What the petition asks
Make it a law that all NHS hospitals and clinics have to give patients the option of a second opinion, and make a referral accordingly at your request.
At present NHS patients do not have a right to a second opinion, which we believe can have serious adverse consequences for patients and their family.
Where a second opinion has been requested, no further action should be taken until this has been provided.
