What the petition asks
1: Increase the age to buy fireworks from 18 to 25.
2: Ban the sale of fireworks that make a loud noise or that can be potentially used to project explosive elements into a crowd, to everyone except organisers of significant major events.

We believe the police are failing to enforce current regulations, and that there has been an almost total loss of respect for persons, animals, property and authority.
Fireworks have a significant impact on pets and other animals, and create an unnecessary additional cost and strain on an already depleted fire service. We are particularly concerned about firework projectiles being used in crowds or demonstrations, including against the police force.
