What the petition asks
In accordance with Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights, police should not intrude on the private lives of our people via drone technology unless there is an active crime or serious suspicion of threat to democracy.
Unless there is an active crime or serious suspicion of threat to democracy, we believe the interference with the right to privacy cannot be justified on legal grounds, and that drones should not be used for surveillance under any other circumstances.
