social media profiles to have registration in the background of each profile.

What the petition asks

Social media has become an everyday source of communication and has done amazing things in providing a platform to communicate information in real time. It has, however, also become a stage for harassment, slander, disinformation and propaganda - all without accountability. Establish accountability
The rights of individuals being subject to harassment, slander, etc are being ignored as social media do not work with legal entities when protecting individual rights. Civil action legal costs are beyond the average person's pocket because the process of taking action against unlawful social media activity is complicated. Simplify the process. This is not a breach of anonymity. Visible profile names can be different and not reflect the details of the actual user.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about the activity of some social media users, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

Your petition refers to having "registration" in the background of a social media user's profile, but it's not clear what you mean by "registration".

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
