What the petition asks
The current wage threshold for someone sponsoring their spouse is £18400 the government have just announced they will put it to £38,700. The national median wage is £34,963.
This is discriminatory towards all people married to nationalities requiring a spouse visa.
People expect to support their spouse but the government are going to split families.
A basic human right - living with your spouse.
