Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Stop the trial of the Low traffic neighbourhoods in Streatham.
The low traffic neighbours were meant to reduce air pollution but have done the opposite, with congestion building
Up on roads, bringing traffic to complete standstill, engines are idle and causing way more pollution than before. This is causing our transport systems to have severe delays or complete cancellations which have an impact on people completing their day to day routine.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about low traffic neighbourhoods are a matter for individual local authorities, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you. You can find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them, by entering your post code here: https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors
