Ban the importation and selling of Foie Gras in the UK

What the petition asks
The farming and production of Foie Gras was banned in the UK in 2000, but the import and sale of this product is still legal.
If Foie Gras production is banned in the UK so should be the importation and sale of this cruel product.
We call upon the Government to introduce legislation to ban this.
Only a small amount of retailers and hospitality businesses sell and serve this dish to a minority of the public, as the majority of the public want a ban against importing Foie Gras.
We are a nation of animal lovers and this cruel product is banned from being farmed and produced in the UK due to animal welfare grounds, so the importing and sale of this product should also be banned.
