What the petition asks
The government intend on increasing the salary requirement to bring your spouse to the U.K. from £18,600 to £38,700.
This is alienating a very large portion of the U.K. would legally like to be reunited with their families.
Such a large jump in salary requirement needs to be stopped.

As someone in a long term, long distance relationship, it’s completely unethical to alienate families in this way. This process is already expensive, and shouldn’t be just for the middle to upper class.
