What the petition asks

Stop the TV licence fee and force the BBC to find alternative ways to fund itself.

I want the government to abolish the TV licence fee. From 01/04/24 the annual cost of a TV licence will rise to £169.50. Not taking into account inflation and future fee increases over the average persons lifetime that's roughly £10,509 . The TV Licence fee is outdated, not fit for the 21st century and an unnecessary tax on the public.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
