Review the implications of Ethiopia-Somaliland MOU for East Africa

What the petition asks
We urge the Government to assess the potential impact of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Ethiopia and Somaliland, and consider whether any action is needed to safeguard regional stability and diplomatic norms.
We are concerned that the MOU risks significant repercussions, including:
1. Regional instability
2. Terrorist group attraction
3. Disruption to the Sea trade route
4. Formation of unnecessary alliances
5. The region becoming a battleground
6. Potential fragmentation of stable African borders
7. Potential unilateral recognition by Somalia of Somali regions in Ethiopia and Kenya
We want the Government to assess these risks, and intervene diplomatically if necessary.
