Require schools to close during severe weather

Closed 24 signatures

What the petition asks

During severe weather, such as strong storms, or extreme temperatures, for example above 30⁰ or below 5⁰ Celsius, we think schools shouldn't be open as extreme weather can create risks for both teachers and students.
We want the Government to take action to ensure that young kids and teenagers shouldn't have to go to school in these types of weather, which can have fatal consequences. This is a particular issue where school infrastructure can't stand up to extreme weather.
