Public consultation for the future of Billingham Town Centre

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

To give residents a say on the future of their town centre from the £20m government levelling up funding, £6m from TVCA, and the potential £15m from Stockton Council.
To prevent Stockton Council conducting behind closed doors confidential meetings without full support and opinions from local residents.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about Billingham Town Centre are a matter for the relevant local authority, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you. You can find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them, by entering your post code here: https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors
