Stop Haringey council from enforcing controlled parking zones

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

Stop Haringey from making their communities pay to have the right to park outside their house and then not having a parking space guaranteed.
Haringey have removed 400+ parking spaces from the Campsbourne Estate and then making us pay for the little parking spaces they have left. It is a blatant money making scheme as the majority did not want a controlled parking zone and the times do not match up with the times on the plan they submitted.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about introducing controlled parking zones are a matter for individual local authorities, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you. You can find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them, by entering your post code here: https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors

We have published the following petition, which you might like to sign:

Create a central management scheme for parking permits: Create a central management scheme for parking permits.

We could accept a petition calling on the Government to ban controlled parking zones, if that's something you'd like to happen.
