Require MPs to take an oath to tell the truth and answer questions directly

What the petition asks
I want there to be a fundamental change in the nature of political debate in this country. I believe MPs should be required to take an oath to commit to telling the truth and answering questions directly.
I think that the way politicians can refuse to give straightforward answers to straightforward questions has led to a lack of faith in the whole system of government and has contributed to a polarised society. I want the government to take the action proposed above because I believe this could help bring politics in line with how other businesses and institutions operate.
